Robert Bland talks with us today about contemporary issues in mental health, in particular, the Recovery Model and its relationship to practice
Robert Bland is the Queensland Health Chair of Mental Health in the School of Social Work and Human Services at the University of Queensland. He has extensive experience in working as a social work practitioner, researcher and teacher in the mental health field. He has special interests in the welfare of people with long-term serious mental illness, families, recovery theory, and spirituality and mental illness. He is Chair of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Mental Health Committee, a Board member of NEAMI, and a life member of ARAFMI.
